That’s because old Kai Tak airport used to be nearby and it is convenient for receive to get Thai commodities that provided a close area for them to start their businesses. And of course, the rent at Kowloon City is affordable at the same time provided that it is centrally located. The place is the most crowded on Sundays when domestic helpers and Thai-Chinese come and stock up Thai food.
